AJ Brown sends 'Eagles nation' a message after signing his new contract
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown officially signed his three-year, $96 million contract extension on Tuesday.

After making the deal that keeps him in Philly until 2029 official, he sent a message to Eagles nation:

"What's up Eagles nation, it's A.J Brown. I'm so glad to be here. Guys, when I hang my cleats up, it's going to be to be in that uniform right there, man. I'm so blessed, I'm so thankful. Ready for the upcoming season, man. Go Birds!"

Brown, 26, will be 32 by the time his contract is up in Philly. That's right around the age that NFL wide receivers throw in the towel.

But that's a long way away and he's got some more history to make as an Eagle.

Brown is fresh off a 2023 season where he set the new single-season franchise record for most receptions by a wide receiver with 106. He's also the first Eagles wide receiver in franchise history with 1,200 or more yards in back-to-back with 1,456, breaking his own 2022 record. Additionally, Brown broke the NFL record by logging at least 125 yards through six straight games last season.

In total, since the Eagles traded the Tennessee Titans for Brown back in 2022, he's hauled in 194 receptions for 2,952 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. He's also made back-to-back Pro Bowls and earned two second-team All-Pro nods.

Brown's $32 million annual salary is now the highest for any NFL wide receiver at the moment, and it's well-deserved.
